I feel like if you give the pears a little steam, they get sweeter. Especially if they aren’t totally soft to begin with.
Yes! This is a great idea! Thank you!:)

I made this for my 8.5 month old and she loved it! I had some tofu in my fridge that needed using up and was pleased when i saw your recipe using it! You’re right, it totally tastes like a banana milkshake!!
Loving your recipes and I’m yet to try one that my daughter hasn’t eaten up at lightening speed!!! Thank-you.

Thank you so much for the wonderful recipes. I made this one for my little guy and he loved it but threw up a couple hours later. He’d had everything before except the tofu. Have you had that experience with tofu? He’s almost 7 months. Thanks again.
Hello Raquel,
I would back off of tofu for a couple of weeks and then try again. He might not be ready for it yet, might have ate too much, or just wasn’t feeling good. I haven’t had any reactions in my kids with tofu but they have definitely thrown up a fair amount this winter due to all kinds of crazy things…oh kids!!!:)
Let me know how it goes with round 2.

Do you suggest pairing this with anything to add a bit more girth? I just feel like my 8 month old could eat a whole batch in one sitting.
Hello Chelsea,
Your 8 month old is smart!! I would love to eat this entire recipe as well:)
I would probably pair this with an orange and green puree for a complete meal. Orange puree being something like a feed baby a sweet potato puree + curry, carrots + butternut squash + thyme or red pepper + carrots + basil. The green puree being something like asparagus + parsley, broccoli + green beans + leeks, or even peas + zucchini + mint.
Hope that helps!!

Hi Michele,
I’m wondering if this recipe is considered a lunch meal or a snack? I have this doubt everytime I add more fruits than veggies..
Btw my daughter love your recipes!!

Would it get brown when freezing?
It didn’t brown for me. I would put it into the freezer right away before the banana had a chance to start browning. You could also add just a splash of lemon juice after pureeing for a natural preservative.

Hi Michele, I read somewhere that raw tofu shouldn’t be given to babies as it might have harmful bacteria due to the water. Any advice on that ?Thanks.

My baby is SO picky but she loves this! Thank you for posting!! My hubby and I tried too and it’s actually really tasty 🙂
This was super easy to make! I have twins, and they both loved it. It went down smooth, and my daughter is quite picky when it comes to eating. The texture and consistency turned out great. I used a half of a block of firm tofu, and I ended up using 1/4 cup water.
So happy to hear that both of your little ones loved this recipe!
Can I use silken tofu? my baby is almost turning 8 months. And I get it from asian stores.
Yes, that would work great.
My LO loooves this puree too, such a great way to incorporate tofu. Have been told she gobbles this up at daycare.
So happy to hear your little one loves this puree! So healthy and easy to make!
I can’t wait to make this for my 6 months old!
Do you think using regular organic tofu would be ok? I usually use The Tofoo Co. Naked, or Cauldron (the ones available in our local shop). I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sprouted tofu around here in general.
Thanks!
Yes, organic tofu will work great! Not sure where you are, but I just saw sprouted tofu at my Target.
I made this for my 7 month old and he. loved. it. Thanks for a great recipe!
So happy to hear your little one loved this puree! Thank you for the review, I really appreciate it!
