This gentle Apple, Green Beans and Broccoli Baby Food Puree recipe requires only three easy ingredients, is made in under 15 minutes, and is perfect for babies aged 6 months and up.

A white cutting board filled with a spread of produce and a small bowl of apple green bean and broccoli baby food puree.

My youngest found the bold flavors of broccoli and green beans a little hard to swallow—literally.

So what did I do? I paired them together… but not without a little help.

By adding naturally sweet apples to the mix, everything changes. When broccoli, green beans, and apples are steamed together, their flavors soften and mellow beautifully. Instead of shouting HELLO, they gently say, oh hey there. The apples balance out the bitterness just enough, making this combo much more approachable for little taste buds. In fact, this was the only way my daughter would eat green beans for over six months.

This puree makes a wonderful stage two combination puree, perfect for babies who already enjoy broccoli and green beans, or for those who just need a little sweetness to help them get there.
