Turkey, Corn + Zucchini Baby Food Puree

Other ways to enjoy this puree –
- mix in some cooked farro or quinoa for a grain-alicious chunky puree
- to get some additional healthy fat in baby’s diet, add a pat of butter on top of the turkey while steaming
- no chives on hand – than cilantro would also be a great herb to use

Get the recipe: Turkey, Corn + Zucchini Baby Food Puree
This summer puree is filled with fresh sweet corn, sun ripened zucchini, zesty chives and some ground turkey for some extra protein!
Ingredients
- 1/4 pound ground turkey or turkey breast, cubed
- 1 small yellow zucchini, roughly chopped
- 1 cob of corn, chop corn off cob
- 3 chives, roughly chopped
Instructions
Instructions using Beaba's Babycook Pro
- Fill one basket with the zucchini, corn, turkey and chives, in that order. Using the measuring bowl, fill the correlating heating tank to a level 3 with water.
- Lock bowl in place and turn babycook on.
- Run steam cycle.
- Keep the cooking juices and transfer the contents of the turkey basket into the blender and pulse in 3 second bursts until you reach your desired consistency.
Instructions for Regular Cook Method
- In a medium saucepan, bring 2" of water to a boil over medium heat. Place the zucchini, corn, turkey and chives into a steamer basket over boiling water, cover, and cook for 15 or 20 minutes or until the turkey is cooked all the way through. Reserve steamer water. Let cool slightly.
- Transfer the zucchini, corn, turkey and chives to a blender or food processor and puree in short bursts until you reach your desired consistency, adding reserved steamer water in 1/4 cup increments if needed.

Age: 6+ months
Yield: 15 ounces
Storage: Fridge – store in an airtight container in the fridge for 1-2 days. Freezer – can be frozen for up to 2 months (this and this are my favorite freezer storage containers).
