I’m wondering if I could just make this in an instant pot
Hi! You can follow the pear recipe from my Instant Pot baby food post to make this. Add the blueberries during blending. Hope this helps! https://babyfoode.com/blog/instant-pot-baby-food/
Baby loved it. Not too sweet, just right. Thank you!
Thank you Hayley for the review. So happy to hear that your little one loved it!
My 6 months old baby loves this. It tastes amazing. Easy to make. I would recommend 100%
So glad your little one loves this recipe! 🙂
We love the Beech Nut version too – will be trying my own today to help with constipation. Do you need to peel the pears or can you leave the skin on?
I would leave the skin on for this recipe if making it to help ease constipation.
Can you use frozen blueberries?
Yes! Sorry, this isn’t in the recipe card. I would add the frozen blueberries in while steaming right on top of the pears for the full 5-8 minutes of steaming.
I add some shredded kale and chia seeds for extra nutrients and vitamins
Love this!
Any recommendations on how to do this if you don’t have a steamer?
You can simmer the pears in a saucepan with 2 tablespoons of water for 5 minutes, then add in the blueberries and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Fun Tip: I put a bit of lemongrass and ginger in the liquid before steaming and save it afterwards to use as "juice" for the next few days. My daughter loves it!
That sounds amazing!! I will have to try it. Did you sweeten it at all?
I don’t. It’s sort of all she knows as "juice". It’s a mild flavor. 🙂
