3 Fall Blender Muffins for Baby + Toddler
These 3 Fall Blender Muffin Recipes are beyond moist, tender, and taste and maybe most importantly, super easy to make! Making these mini muffins for your toddler and kids takes just five minutes of prep.

My obsession with blender muffins all started when I made these Sweet Potato Mini Muffins. For one, they were beyond moist, tender and tasty. Secondly, and maybe more importantly, they were beyond easy to make.
5-minute prep + 10-minute bake + 3 minutes cool = 18 minutes and 1 dish to clean until I can share a delicious and nutritious snack with my girls!
Today, I have 3 more amazing blender muffin recipes for you!! Yes, T-H-R-E-E!
Full of fall flavor, these 3 different muffins are going to rock your (and baby’s) world! And while I am calling them fall blender muffins, let’s get real, these muffins can be made any time of year.
Pumpkin Spice
Cranberry Yogurt
Apple Cinnamon
Take your pick, they are all perfect for baby, toddler and you!
The base recipe is more or less the same – old-fashioned oats, a banana, an egg, a little maple syrup and spices.
This also means they are Gluten-Free, Refined Sugar-Free and two of the muffins are even Diary-Free.
Then we get to add in the fun stuff – pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg or cranberries, yogurt and vanilla or even applesauce, apple chunks and cinnamon. A muffin to fit whichever mood you are in.
Since they are full of only wholesome ingredients, they are perfect for any baby 7+ months old. Your wee one can either gnaw on them whole or you can chop them into smaller pieces for them to practice their pincer grip and try to feed themselves.

Pumpkin Spice Muffins for Baby + Toddler
These mini pumpkin muffins for baby (or you!) are moist and tender with hints of warming cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Pumpkin puree is the star of these muffins and besides giving them a sweet earthy flavor. The perfect muffin for baby’s breakfast or snack and for your mid-morning cup of coffee treat.

Cranberry Yogurt Muffins for Baby + Toddler
Cranberries and a pinch of fresh orange zest give these slightly sweet muffins a little zip that will wake up your little one’s taste buds! If you are out of frozen cranberries, frozen blueberries can easily be subbed in their place.

Apple Cinnamon Muffins for Baby + Toddler
Sweet apples and robust cinnamon are a classic fall muffin combination. When we whip them up in a blender in under 5 minutes, we know life is going to be great. Just try not to eat all of them before the babes has a chance to have one:)

My toddler loved these muffins. Definitely a staple in my house.
Can you substitute the egg for a flax egg? I want to make these for my infant but she has an egg allergy.
Hi Amy! I don’t see why not. Please come back and let us know how the muffins turned out for you! xo, Michele
Can I use quick oats instead of old fashioned oats ?
Hi Kristin! They can be interchangeable but the taste and texture may be a bit different as far as the end result. If you try it, let me know how it turns out for you! xo, Michele
These were always a hit with my toddler. I would love to make some for my 10 month old but she has an egg allergy, is there something i could substitute for the egg?
Hi Amy! You can try to replace 1 egg with a flax egg. xo, Michele
These are awesome and I’m so glad I found your recipe. My 2 year old and 1 year old love them (and they’re so picky) and I’ve been making the apple cinnamon ones almost everyday for breakfast with eggs and fruit. Just came here to say Thanks for posting this recipe!
That’s great! Sounds like a delicious breakfast to me! =) xo, Michele
I can brag enough about the apple cinnamon muffins!! They are soo moist and delicious! I cannot wait to try the pumpkin ones!! Please keep making delicious healthy recipes like this!!
You got it! Thanks Jen! xo
My little one loves these! She’s 10 months and has been going crazy for these. I’ve made 4 batches over the last few months and every time she is so excited. They are her favorite snack.
Love this! 💕 I can’t even tell you how many times I made these for my girls when they were that little!
Do you know if I could use plain regular yogurt for the cranberry recipe instead of Greek yogurt? Can’t wait to try them!
Sure! Let me know how it turns out! =) xo, Michele
Hi there!
These are great I always made for my son when he was younger.
My daughter (almost 1) is allergic to oats. Could I substitute with flour?
Thank you!
Hi D! Yes you can absolutely sub flour for the oats. It’s a 1:1 substitute. xo, Michele
Amazing recipe, and oh so easy! I ended up eating more than one tonight , yum!
Your secret is safe with me! 🤣 I have a hard time stopping at one too!
Hi I’ve made these a thousand times for my toddler but now I’m making them for my baby who is under a year old. I don’t want her to ingest salt so would it affect the muffins if i omit salt ?
You can omit the salt. They may taste a little different than the original version your toddler is used to, but they will work.
Best muffins ever, I make these all the time and cycle through the different flavors, great for kids and adults! I’ll add a touch of wheat germ and some pecans and it works great.
So happy to hear that you love these muffins! I love your additions!
Thanks for the recipes! Just wondering if I can use oat flour instead of blended old fashioned oats? Thanks!
I haven’t tried it, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for these muffins. If you try it, let us know how they turn out. Thanks!
Love these!!!! Absolutely life saver and throw it all in my vitamix and so many variations I make for my son. But I must be missing something cause my oven definitely does not have then baked in 8-10min. They are always still raw. I do usually 18 minutes. Surprise I’m the only one 🤔
So glad to hear how big of hit these are for you! I just made a batch and they were done 12 minutes, so maybe it’s our ovens? Or possibly the size we are cooking them.
These are so perfect for baby lead weaning, my son is thoroughly enjoying the apple cinnamon muffins. Amazing texture and clean ingredients. Will be trying the cranberry yogurt next, but using blueberries. Thanks for the great recipes!
So glad your little one is enjoying these! Adding blueberries is a great idea!
Can you completely omit the maple syrup? I don’t really want to give my 1 year old added sugars of any sort besides the natural sugars that come from fruits and veggies.
I would replace the maple syrup with applesauce or mashed a very ripe banana. Hope that helps.
looking forward to trying these muffins, they sound delicious!
Let me know how they turn out for you.
Hi there
I followed the recepie the only chamge I made was I only added 1.5 spoons of maple syrup…baked for 12 mins but I found my muffins flat and a bit stodgy inside… my daughter still loved them but they aren’t crumbie (sorry not a word) they are more like wet texture…I did let them cool in the pan maybe that’s the issue?
We’re still eating them as the texture is Good for a 7 month old but will definitely try again
Thanks.
I made the pumpkin and the apple cinnamon and they both tasted really good but they didn’t rise very much at all. I followed the directions exactly. So they ended up being more dense than fluffy but still good.
Thanks for your comments. Because we are not adding any refined sugar, they do tend to be on the denser side, but mine always have some rise in them. I’ll make another batch tonight to test them out.
I’m surprised my daughter even had any of these to try because we couldn’t stop eating them when I made them. They are SO easy to make and delicious! They keep well in the fridge and they were perfect for travel this summer.
haha.. I love this! Sounds like you need to make a double batch next time:)
Hi,
Would these not turn out really dense. I’ve made blender muffins before and they don’t rise/fluff up and get really really dense. I really want to try this but don’t want to be left with heavy, hard and dense muffins. Do let me know.
They turned out really soft and tender for me (see photos). You may be over mixing them in your blender. I usually say 1-2 minutes of blending the oats in the blender and that its. Just like regular muffins, you don’t want to overmix these blender muffins either.
I made these and my toddler and husband love them. I do too! Awesome recipe! I doubled the recipe and made reg sized muffins!
So glad both toddler and hubby loved them! Great idea to double the recipe and make them bigger:)
Hi what can I sub for the oats. My daughter is allergic. Thank you
I haven’t tried another flour with this recipe, but you could try using white whole wheat or all-purpose flour instead.
Would fresh cranberries work?
Yes, you may want to chop them up a little bit so they aren’t so big.
All I can taste is baking soda!! I am going to make another batch but halve the baking soda to see if that helps.
I just made another batch, and only used 1/2 tsp baking soda and they were perfect. Thanks for the suggestion. Updated recipe cards.
How am I to print these recipes… not seeing an option for that. Thank you! Love the apple muffins, super easy and quick.
Will this recipe work if i don’t put the chopped apple? I made lots of homemade applesauce today and don’t have extra apples. I figure the additional apple will release liquid but not sure if it will work the same without it. Please let me know if I can omit or do I need to substitute it for something else?
You can omit the chopped apples and they will still be amazing!
Is maple syrup safe for babies under 1?
In this small quantity, yes.
My daughter spilled in a little extra apple sauce in the apple muffins and it made them even softer and more delicious, if that’s possible! We love these muffins and make them all the time. From now on we’ll be generous with the apple sauce!
I love that she put her own twist on it! ❤️ Happy to hear these are a regular at your house!
