This savory Spinach Avocado Oatmeal Breakfast Cereal for Baby is a fun (and easy!) way to get spinach in your little one for breakfast. This vibrant green puree is made with avocado, spinach and sensitive oatmeal cereal and is a delicious breakfast cereal that your baby will love. Great Stage Two Baby Food.

Ingredients 

  • 1/2 cup spinach, chopped
  • 1/2 small avocado, pitted
  • 1/2 cup Beech-Nut sensitive oatmeal cereal or homemade cereal
  • 1/2 cup warm water, breastmilk or formula

Instructions 

  • Place the spinach, avocado, cereal and liquid into a blender or food processor. Puree for 30-60 seconds or until completely smooth. If breakfast cereal is too thick, add in more liquid 1 tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Age: 6 months and up
Yield: 8 ounces
Homemade Cereal: this or this would be great homemade cereals to use in this recipe. 
Storage: Fridge – store in an airtight container in the fridge for 2 days. Freezer – can be frozen for up to 2 months.
