Sweet peaches + creamy yogurt = pure magic. This easy Peach Yogurt is made by simmering fresh or frozen peaches with a few warm spices, then swirling them into yogurt for a kid-approved snack or breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain whole milk yogurt, Greek yogurt, or plain plant-based yogurt
  • 2 cups frozen sliced peaches or fresh peaches (peeled and pitted)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • small pinch nutmet
  • 2-3 tbsp maple syrup, optional

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, add the peaches, water, and nutmeg.
  • Cook over medium-low heat for 5 minutes (fresh peaches) – 10 minutes (frozen peaches). Stir in the maple syrup.
  • Pulse with an immersion blender or transfer the peaches to a blender or food processor and puree for 1-2 minutes until smooth. You can make this as chunky or smooth as you prefer.
  • Stir into yogurt and enjoy!

Notes

Age: 6+ months (omit maple syrup until 1+ years)
Storage: This peach yogurt can be stored in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. You can freeze the peach puree for up to 4 months. Then you can defrost and add the puree to yogurt whenever you wish to serve this recipe.
For Toddlers and Kids: feel free to top with hemp seeds, granola, a drizzle of honey (for 1 year and up), or chopped berries.
Time-Saving Tip: while we love making this recipe using simmered peaches, if you are short on time, you can simply blend frozen and thawed peaches (and their juices) with cinnamon and maple syrup until smooth.
