This creamy and flavorful Mango Yogurt blends up quickly and perfectly for breakfast, snack, or dessert! This yogurt dish is also full of protein, calcium, probiotics, and essential vitamins for all ages. Best of all, you can use fresh or frozen mangos! For ages 6+ months.

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups plain whole milk yogurt
  • 2 cups mango, fresh or frozen - deseeded, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 2-3 tbsp maple syrup or honey, optional

Instructions 

  • Place the mango, water, and nutmeg into a small saucepan and heat over medium-low heat for 10-12 minutes or until soft and broken down. Stir in the maple syrup (if using). Let cool slightly.
    Simmered mango and maple syrup, and nutmeg.
  • Transfer the mango to a blender or food processor and puree for 1-2 minutes until smooth. Or you can blitz the mango with an immersion blender.

  • Spoon into yogurt and serve.

Notes

Age: 6+ months
Storage: this mango yogurt can be stored in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. You can freeze the mango puree for up to 4 months. Then you can defrost and add it to yogurt whenever you wish to serve this recipe. 
For Toddlers and Kids: feel free to top with hemp seeds, granola, a drizzle of honey (for ages 12 months and older), or chopped berries. 
Note on Mango: if using frozen mango, there is no need to thaw them before cooking in this recipe.
Spices: feel free to use 1/8 tsp cloves or ground nutmeg, 1/2 tsp cinnamon or vanilla extract or 2 tsp fresh lime juice.
