5 stars (1 rating)
Great for snack time, birthday parties or packed into a school lunch. Full of protein, antioxidants, fiber and probiotics, these skewers are as healthy as they are fun to eat!

Rainbow Skewers

  • 2 cups assorted fruit (see notes)
  • 12 skewers

Lemon Honey Yogurt Dip

  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1-2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp lemon zest

  • On a cutting board, peel and chop any fruit.
  • Cut the pointy end off of the wooden skewers (see notes for more information).
  • Thread the fruit onto a skewer in rainbow order, or any order you prefer.
  • In a small bowl, add in the yogurt, honey, lemon juice and zest and mix until incorporated.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Age: 1 year and up. If serving to a baby under 1, you will have to omit the honey as baby's under a year cannot have honey.
Note on Fruit: I used raspberries, mandarin oranges, pineapple chunks, kiwis, blueberries and blackberries. But you can feel free to use any fruit in any colors you prefer or have on hand.
Note on Skewers: These are the skewers that I used. I would recommend that you do cut the pointy end off before threading the fruit so your kids don't start using them as swords;). You can also use these or these which have blunt ends.
