Get the recipe: Sweet Potato, Mango with Ginger Baby Food Puree

5 stars (10 ratings)
I have found that when ginger is paired with sweet potato and mango, it calms down a little and is perfect for baby's delicate taste buds!

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and roughly cubed
  • 1 mango, peeled, deseeded and roughly chopped (see notes)
  • 1/2 tsp ginger, freshely grated
  • 1/2 cup liquid. water, breast milk, formula or stock

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, add the cubed sweet potatoes and add enough water to cover the sweet potatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for 20-25 minutes or until tender when pricked with a fork. Drain and let cool slighly.
  • Add the sweet potatoes, mango and ginger to a blender or food processor and puree for 1-2 minutes or until completely smooth, adding liquid of choice in 1/4 increments as needed.
