5 stars (1 rating)
Loaded with Vitamin A, C and B and a ton of carotenoids and calcium, this puree is a special treat with double dose of healthy nutrients.

Ingredients

  • 2 mangos (roughly 3 cups), peeled, deseeded and roughly chopped (frozen works)
  • 2 apples, peeled, cored and roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 tbsp dried cherries
  • 1/4 tsp cloves

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, add in the mango, apples, water and cloves. Cover and heeat over medium-low heat for 10 minuters or until apples are easily pricked with a fork, stirring occasionally. Let cool slightly.
  • Meanwhile, in a small bowl add the cherries and cover with hot water. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Transfer the mango, apples and drained cherris to a blender or food processor and puree for 1-2 minutes or until you have reached your desired consistency, adding extra water in tbsp increments if needed.

Notes

Age: 6+ months
Yield: makes roughly 25 ounces
Note on Cherries: you can easily use fresh or frozen cherries in this recipe. Sub in 1/4 cup of cherries and cook during step one.
Storage: Fridge – store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Freezer – can be frozen for up to 4 months (this and this are my favorite freezer storage containers).
