- 5 pears
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/3 cup water
Peel, core and roughly chop the pears.
In a medium saucepan, add the pears, nutmeg and water.
Cover and heat over medium-low heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally or until pears are tender.
Let cool slightly.
Transfer all ingredients into a blender or food processor and puree for 1-2 minutes or until smooth.
Age: from about 4 months and up
Yield: 20 ounces
Storage: Fridge – store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Freezer – can be frozen for up to 4 months (this and this are my favorite freezer storage containers).
