Ingredients 

Plum Baby Food Puree

  • 5 plums, pitted and roughly sliced
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp water

Instructions 

Plum Baby Puree

  • In a medium saucepan, place the plums, cinnamon, and water.
    A silver saucepan, with cut plums inside with a pinch of cinnamon.
  • Cook over medium-low heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring often or until the plums are tender. Let cool slightly.
    Simmer plums in a silver saucepan.
  • Transfer the plums to a blender of food processor.

  • Turn on the blender or food processor and puree for 1-2 minutes on medium. If the puree is too thick, add 1/4 cup of the reserved liquid at a time, until you achieve desired consistency.

Plums for Baby-Led Weaning

  • Serve to your baby in an age-appropriate way – either cut in half off of the pit, slices, or chopped into smaller pieces. You can also puree or mash the plum and serve to your baby on a self-feeding spoon.

Notes

Age: 6+ months
Storage: you can store the plum puree in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or in the freezer for up to 4 months. You can store the plum pieces in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
