In one bowl, add 4-6 drops of red or pink food dye to the yogurt, stir until completely mixed.
In another bowl, add 4 drops of red and 4 drops of blue food dye to the yogurt, stir until completely mixed. You can also use any color combinations you want with your sprinkles.
Drop spoonfuls of the different color yogurts into the baking dish in a random fashion (see video for more guidance). Using a spoon, swirl the yogurts together and gently smooth out. You don't want to over stir or your colors will get completely mix together.
Sprinkle the sprinkles on top.
Place the baking dish in the freezer and let chill for 4 hours or until completely frozen.
Once frozen, take the baking dish out of the freezer and break the yogurt pieces into hand size chunks. Serve and enjoy.
Notes
Age: 1 year and upYogurt: I used vanilla Greek yogurt for this recipe, but you can use plain yogurt with 3-4 tbsps of added sweetener (honey, maple syrup, aguave nectar), honey or vanilla yogurt. I prefer using Greek sytle yogurt for this recipe as it has more protein than the regular version. But really any yogurt will work.Dairy-Free: to make this dairy-free, you can use any soy, nut or plant-based yogurt you prefer. Food-Dye: I used this brand of plant-based food dye, but you can use any type of food dye you prfer. Non Food-Dye Version: you can also blend the yogurt with different frozen berries for a similar color effect. Simply place a 1/2 cup of yogurt into a smaller type of blender or food processor and blend with 1/3 cup of frozen fruit (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries or raspberries). Sprinkles: we used this brand of sprinkles because they use plant-based dye. But any sprinkles or toppings you have will work. Storage: will last 2 months in the freezer
